Changing Tides

Love expands in a world that’s wide across the sea and great divide-it multiplies and comes alive
And when that love begins to wane replaced by heartache, fear, and pain, the world contracts, and all feels lost like winter chill and biting frost

The soul it longs for warmth and light, for love’s return and wrong turned right
There’s only loss and memory in places left to destiny
To long for love and rue the day the best of life did fade away
A mother’s cry releasing pain- a lover’s tears like falling rain
A storm that rages leaving drought- the season that is dark, without
Groans and listens for the day- for warmth and love like ocean spray
That’s sweet and gentle on the face expanding time, creating space
The need that makes us who we are binding hearts both near and far
We are who we’re meant to be like waves upon a raging sea
We grow and change and find a way to rise and thrive with each new day
The miracle of the love we’ve known- the promise we are not alone.
We carry loss and give it breath, a healing that will conquer death.
Inside the pain of changing tides, we find our way to deeper life…
